Notes : Palace Of Bone is also known as Snaky Road and dates back to 2006 when played with Babyshambles. It would see release on Peter’s debut solo LP. Peter only came onstage at 1am.
From NME “The gig was Doherty's third in three nights at the venue. Although previously he had been joined by his Babyshambles bandmates for the gigs, last night Doherty took to the stage on his own, playing an acoustic set of songs that stretched back to his pre-Rough Trade Libertines days. Kicking off shortly before 1am (GMT) with Libertines favourite 'Music When The Lights Go Out', Doherty played a varied set that included a cover of Oasis' 'Hello', much to the crowd's delight. While the biggest cheers were saved for Babyshambles' 'Fuck Forever' and The Libertines' 'Up The Bracket', 'Time For Heroes' and 'Campaign Of Hate', Doherty looked most content playing 'Snakey Road' and 'Love Reign O'er Me'. The singer, who defied the smoking ban by puffing on cigarettes throughout the set, kept the between-song banter to a minimum. He did, however, thank the night's support acts before launching into final song, a rapturously received 'What Katy Did'.”

Amy Winehouse appeared on stage with the band. After Time For Heroes, Amy returned to the stage and grabbed the microphone asking the audience to cheer for Peter. The band started Albion and Amy took the mic again saying “part your hands, listen, think about it before you put them back together for Peter Doherty. We English we are lucky to people like him in this country…”. Then at the end of Albion Amy can be heard singing some lines of an unknown song and then asking the crowd to clap for Peter again.
From NME Blog “The initial stumble on stage induced cheers from the crowd, camera-phones flaring up to capture the appearance on wobble-vision. A few words in the Babyshambler's ear, a bit of a smooch, then off. And that was that – a bit of a bonus. Until 'Time For Heroes', near the end of the show, when she ambled back on in a bit of a state, plonking herself down on Adam Ficek's drum riser, seemingly oblivious to the surely eardrum-stretching thump-thump going on a foot to her right. Then up again, hugging Pete and pawing at him, urging him to play a guitar solo. "Guitar solo!" she exclaimed. He didn't play a guitar solo, eventually clasping his palm over her gob to muffle her then ship her off stage. She looked pretty pissed, but then again, the rest of us were too.”

Notes: During Peter’s solo Acoustic section of the set he sings Happy Birthday to friends Georgina and Sally. Before Albion Peter is heard chanting “We Are QPR” in response to his favourite football teams recent victory.
From NME “The band the sound pulled on them during their final song. The band attempted to play the song with no electricity, but couldn't be heard above the crowd, so gave up. Doherty, visibly perplexed by the decision to cut the music, then shrugged his shoulders and mouthed that he was sorry to the audience, before exiting the stage. Some fans then proceeded to throw bottles and glasses at the stage for a full 15 minutes, chanting for Doherty to return as they did so and lambasting festival organisers for cutting the band's sound…During 'Bollywood To Battersea', a fan threw a Libertines T-shirt onstage, which Doherty caught and hung over his mic stand, causing frenzied cheers from the audience. Doherty instructed his band to stop the song midway through so he could launch into an amped up version of the set's penultimate song”

2011
2011 - Peter Doherty filmed his acting debut in France.
Notes : Peter plays the leading role as Alfred De Musset. The film “Confessions Of A Young Contemporary“ is an adaptation of Alfred de Musset's autobiographical novel “La Confession d'un Enfant du Siècle“.
From Knack Magazine 27 April 2013 :
K: What was it like being in front of the camera?
PD : it was alright, yeah. A challenge. You've got to remember the words and be credible. Luckily, my charachter was a bit like me. Poetry, despair, decadence: I know everything about it! (smiles) When Sylvie wanted to do this for me and I read the script, I knew: this is me. I would've been jealous if someone else would have got the role.
K: Was it the first time a film maker asked you?
PD: Spielberg calls me all the time! (laughs). No, people have offered me various roles before but either I didn't like the plot or the producers said: "Not that junkie!". Actually, the same thing happened this time. I live in a flat in Le Marais. The producers broke into my flat to take away all the drugs. Then when Charlotte joined in, I was finally offered some money.
K: how did you prepare yourself?
PD: I didn't! Sylvie didn't want me to take acting classes. She wanted me the way I am. I was involved in the project from the beginning, so I had enough time to find out who De Musset was and what it was like at that time. A very fascinating period, also qua decoration. Clothes, hats, carriages, furniture,... people had so much more taste back then! Look outside and see the difference. The world looks terrible today. So clean, so cold, so uniform. There's nothing romantic or poetic to it anymore
K: Your first band was called The Libertines, in the movie you're playing a Libertine
PD: When I was fifteen, I started getting into that free, artistic way of life. Not for drugs or sex, I got into the bohemian lifestyle, the suits, the romance, Baudelaire, Oscar Wilde, De Sade,... I've only recently discovered De Musset. Before that I was a well-behaved, shy teenager who got an almost militairy education. Always a lot of discipline. Always on the road from city to city. Until I realised: "This is not me. I've got to find my own way!" Every teenager knows what I mean
K: Were you clean during the recordings?
PD: Well... In the morning I took a good whack to get out of my bed, that helped for like ten or twelve hours. I took some extra gear with me on the set to put myself at ease. But that was more a psychological thing, I guess. Sylvie suggested me to get me some methadone for the recordings, but suddenly everything went so fast that I didn't find the time for that anymore. It was a matter of finding the right vein, shooting and filming
K: Are you clean at this very moment?
PD: Clean as a whistle. It's as if that disappoints certain people. They wanted to see an ill, pathetic junkie. It thrills them. But 'Bad Boy Pete' is mostly an invention of the English tabloids. They don't want me to look good or say some clever things. So they keep on writing horrible stuff about me. The British tabloids are a bunch of vultures.
K: Is that the reason why moved to Paris?
PD: Yes, I had to get out of there. I couldn't get out of my house or I ended up in the gossip section, or in prison. Everyone knew and judged me. I also owed too many debts to dark figures. I always had to take care and look over my shoulder. Moving to Paris was my way to show to my family that I at least tried to get my life back on the rails. In Paris everyone takes themselves so seriously, that I've started to take myself seriously again as well. I don't say that all my problems are solved right now. I still have debts and drug issues, but I'm trying my best.
K: Why exactly Paris?
PD: This movie and Sylvie brought me here, and I'm feeling comfortable with the city. I have no phone, people leave me alone and I wander around the city a lot. I enjoy my own company. My life is no longer about taking drugs, and I'm happy with that! I'm 34, bloody hell, not some 21 year old baby. The time has come to act my own age. Because, you know, it's not that exciting to be fucked up day in day out, to wake up with salive all over the bed, not remembring what you've done with who for the past few days. My new drugs are: sleep and breakfast. It's unbelievable how much energy you get from those two simple things. Living healthy is an addiction. In the past I sometimes sat on my bed for four days, surviving on the garbage I could score. Those things not only kill your voice, but also your creativity
K: Do you think you would've achieved more as a songwriter if you had never started taking drugs?
PD: For sure, yeah. Drugs can trigger your creativity, and push things forward in a very superficial way. But not more than that. The rest is working. Discipline. Expertise. Artists who claim the opposite are naive. Or junkies, they lie to themselves all the time. Who knows how many great songs I could've written if I had stayed clean all those years
K: When did you start seeing things this way?
PD: The last time I was in prison. I was a mess. Crack, coke, heroin,... I couldn't control it anymore. I've also bumped into some very bad people over there. I got beaten up, they used me.... (starts crying). Prison is nothing more than a breeding ground for junkies and dealers. Why on earth would you lock people with drug issues up with dealers? That's really fucking criminal. You could as well just stick a needle in someone's arm and then sentence him to prison. But anyway: England is completely fucked. It's a cold society whose only interest is money. If you don't want the kids to turn into criminals, invest in schools

He wrote, “Peter has been released as was reported there hours ago. Long day folks but a happy one. Many good things done. All's good and peace and quiet shall now ensue. A bit of 'bedding in' and reflection is on the cards and so much the better.”” “Doherty could still face up to five years in prison for charges of burglary, after he allegedly broke into a record shop in Germany and stole a guitar”

23 July 2011 - Amy Winehouse found dead in flat
Notes : From UNCUT.CO.UK “Speaking about this, Doherty said: "When Amy died I was sat in a matchbox room in Camden Town, not able to leave, basically wallowing in my own filth. Literally knee-deep in shit. Literally not able to move. I couldn't speak, I couldn't see anyone, I couldn't pick up the guitar and when I did pick up the guitar it was woeful ballads about how Amy wouldn't be coming round tonight. It wasn't a very inspiring time."
“ Doherty also revealed that although he wanted to attend Winehouse's funeral, her father Mitch did not want him there. Speaking about this, Doherty said: "I think she would have wanted me at her funeral. It's a personal feeling of grief I've never had the chance to see through. I'm made to feel that I'm not her friend, which I was. She came to the Libertines' gig at the forum. We came back to the hotel and she stayed all night. At one point it was me, her and Carl having a little sing-song."
“The former Libertines singer also opened up about Mitch Winehouse throwing him out of the singer's hotel room, after deeming him a bad influence on her. He recounted: "I remember one time she was due to play at the Apollo in Hammersmith, she said: 'I saw you and Babyshambles play last week. I'll show you a real gig, come to my hotel room.' Her dad turned up at the hotel and told me 'You've got to go'."”

After the Stranger In My Own Skin Peter announces it is a “newish song” and that he’s been getting a lot of grief for not writing new songs. He also dedicated the night to Amy Winehouse and played a song he wrote for her. He also reminisces about the time he played it to her and her reaction being “Is that it?”. From Adem’s tumblr blog 02 January “These demos are at best one-fourth of the vision I have in my head. I once dreamt of pulling the faders up, solo cello opening Bird Cage, tension rising, then the crash of the drums entering the verse, thundering around the bass and guitar dance groove.”

25 January 2012 - NME Blog mentions new Peter Doherty material
From NME Blog 25 January 2012 “Bird Cage - This one's a duet with singer Suzi Martin, recorded at Babyshambles guitarist Mik Whitnall's London studio last month”

“Down For The Outing - And this one sounds like it has the makings of classic solo Moz to us, if they nail it in the studio”
“Hired Gun - Here's an exclusive stream of the new single from The Lipstick Melodies, in collaboration with Pete. That band, of course, feature Alan Wass on vocals, who's been knocking around with Pete for years – his old band Lefthand supported The Libertines on the fabled Albion tour in 2002 (and Alan apparently took a piss in one of Carl Barat's brogues during it). This track's actually been around in demo form for years, but gets a proper release in March”

From NME 23 May 2012 “Doherty has revealed that his new album will feature a duet with singer Suzi Martin named 'Bird Cage' with lyrics written by Winehouse. An acoustic version of the track will also be played over the credits of Doherty's new film Confession Of A Child Of The Century. The album, which Doherty is currently recording with producer Adem Hilmi, has six other confirmed song titles, which are 'Down For The Outing', 'Siberian Fur', 'Nothing Comes To Nothing', 'Shine A Light On Your Misery', 'Ba Ba Ba' and 'Dust On The Road'. Speaking about recording is progressing, Doherty said: "We've been cracking on. I've got a hard drive full of new songs and a few of them have taken more of a definite shape. Things that were ad libs and off the cuff, we're putting more into traditional song structure." The album will be Doherty's second solo effort, after his first effort 'Grace/Wastelands' came out in 2009”

From NME July 2012 “Peter Doherty is said to be facing another prison sentence after allegedly breaking into a shop and robbing the contents in Regensburg, Germany earlier this year. The owners of the music shop, from which The Libertines singer allegedly stole a guitar and record, are said to be pressing charges against him. Doherty has admitted to smashing the shop window, but says he doesn’t remember stealing anything, as he was drunk at the time. The stolen goods were found after the incident in the Regensburg main square. Doherty had been staying in the town to shoot his part in the film Confessions of a Young Contemporary. Starring opposite fellow musician/actor Charlotte Gainsbourg, Doherty was playing French poet and novelist Alfred de Musset. Doherty, who is currently serving time for cocaine possession in the UK, could face up to five years if he is found guilty of the theft and breaking and entering charges”
From NME October 2012 “Pete Doherty will not face charges over a robbery that took place in Germany earlier this year after police ruled that he was too drunk to have taken part…prosecutors in the Bavarian city have dropped charges over the incident, saying Doherty was far too inebriated to know what he did”

From NME 22 June 2012 “The track, 'Siberian Fur', was written by Peter 'Wolfman' Wolfe, with whom he collaborated on 2004's hit 'For Lovers'. It will be familiar to fans as Doherty often brings it out at solo sets. The new version - which features a rap - has a hip-hop feel with added bass lines, which he explained to NME were string samples from "old silent movies"…'Down For The Outing' is a brand new number, although versions of it have been online for a while. Speaking about it's Parisien feel, Doherty said: "It's 'cos I applied for French citizenship…No, I haven't. But I'm living in Paris and that's authentic-sounding Parisian street music"
Doherty told NME, who were invited to hear the new material in the studio, that there are no plans to release the material yet as it was still in demo stage but said that he has a hard-drive full of new tracks. "”

Pete understands this and therefore the reasons behind why we have asked him to leave…Although our parting with Pete is amicable, we are of course disappointed to see him leave. We hope some of the things he has learnt here will help him in the future and look forward to the day when Pete decides to consider recovery again. Doherty is understood to have left the facility, which costs £7,200 a month to attend, and is today (July 17) flying back to Heathrow. Over the past two years, less than a dozen patients have been asked to leave the centre.”

July 2012 - Nick Toczek wins royalties case over Baddies Boogie.
Notes From NME 23 July 2012 “Pete Doherty has settled out of court for £10,000 with another artist after a claim that the lyrics to the track 'Baddie's Boogie' were stolen, according to reports. Poet and punk performer Nick Toczek noticed that the chorus of 'Baddie's Boogie' – from Babyshambles' second album 'Shotters Nation' is almost identical to his 1983 poem 'Stiff With A Quiff', which he later recorded with his band The Burial.
The line in question is: "It’s a lousy life for the washed up wife of a permanently plastered, pissed up bastard."
The protracted legal battle has lasted for five years and Toczek's lawyers have reportedly negotiated an out of court settlement worth nearly £10,000 with Doherty's management. Kate Moss' writing credit has already been removed from the track. The model was credited as a co-writer of 'Baddie’s Boogie' on the original sleeve of 'Shotters Nation' but on the later live album and DVD 'Oh What A Lovely Tour', Toczek’s name appears instead. In the legal settlement, Toczek is reportedly granted rights to 50 per cent of the song. He has also allegedly been paid £6,800 in damages by Stage Three Music Publishing and £1,400 by EMI, the singer's label. He is owed a further £1,400 in royalties from the Performing Rights Society for Music.”

Notes : From Adem’s tumblr blog 02 January “I spent 9 months creating, writing, and producing an album with Peter. Creating songs and sounds that inspired him to come back to the studio, week after week, record, and most importantly, write. He asked me to produce his album shortly after Christmas last year. This was based on what I did with Bird Cage and Down for the Outing. He announced our collaboration in several publications however, this was not part of the managers plan. Peter wanted me, managers wanted Street. Because of this, the managers made my life a misery. I was blacklisted from shows, I wasn’t allowed to talk to press, no contact with the label, barred from talking or seeing Peter, slandering my name to other prospectus clients, and a number of very belittling, insulting, threatening, and overall, very upsetting phone calls, and this, to the person who was getting results from their artist, and for little to no payment. Peter was given an ultimatum. If he continues to work with me, his managers will not represent him anymore. This was extremely upsetting for us both and we both spent many sleepless nights thinking about how to solve this…Anyhow, although we compiled 15 songs together, I can proudly say that 6 of them are joint collaborations which share both Peter and mines compositional ideas.
I believe that at least 3 of these songs have been re-recorded with Street. I’v not heard what they sound like now but it doesn’t detract from the fact that we wrote and developed these tracks together from scratch and thus, cutting me out completely from his new album is very unjust and unfair ” “Ok well on a parting note, despite the relatively pop/hiphop sound of Bird Cage, DFTO, Siberian Fur, the album also had more Street like productions, within Flags of the old Regime, I wont love anyone (but your not anyone), Shine a light on your Misery, and a few more, but more importantly, I made sure there was at least four songs, faithful to his punk roots, Lib/Shamble aesthetic, off the top of my head; Stranger in my own Skin, Stollen Love Song, Cell Ceiling Blues, Three Blind Mice,… ”
18 February 2013 post on the same blog “I think it would be great for all fans if u could publish a list of all songs youve worked on with Peter/Babyshambles.. just realized that this isnt a questions sooo.. which are the songs u worked on with Peter?
15 Tracks (working titles) we worked on for solo album: Bird Cage aka “Little Bird In A Cage” / Down For The Outing aka Prism Of Your Mind / Siberian Fur / Flags Of The Old Regime / I Won’t Love Anyone (But Your Not Anyone) aka “I Can’t Love Anyone” / Shine A Light On Your Misery / Stranger In My Own Skin / Stollen Love Song / Cell Ceiling Blues aka “Nothing Comes To Nothing” / Three Blind Mice / Having You Over / Give It Up aka “Seven Shades” / After You / Dust On The Road / Babyshambles new album demos we worked on with the band + session drummer: After You / After He / Fireman / Ocean / Maybe line / I Wish (updated)”

2013 - Peter talks about new songs for a second LP.
Notes : Interview with Belgium “Knack” Magazine
From Knack Magazine 27 April 2013 :
K: Your latest release was in 2009. Are you busy writing new songs?
PD: I'm hoping to release a record very soon. And I write poetry and paint. People think I'm lying in my bed the whole day, doing nothing. But that's not right. I try to live
K: You were close with Amy Winehouse, about whom you wrote Flags From The Old Regime. Do you think a lot about her?
PD: Of course I do. It's so sad what has happened to Amy. I've always loved her. A great artist, the best singer of her generation. That's why we need to love her: her music, her songs, not the bullshit stories in the tabloids. If people would've done that a bit more when she was still alive, I'm sure she would still be alive today
K: Thank you for the conversation, take care and stay clean!
PD: I try my best. Do you have a cigarette for me? I forgot mine in the hotel room!

The brainchild of Tottenham native Alan Wass whose previous band Lefthand was signed to Alan McGee‘s Poptones label and their debut EP was produced by Clash legend, Mick Jones. The Lipstick Melodies‘ debut single “Hired Gun” is a collaboration with and featuring Peter Doherty and is a skiffle-tastic pop song that sounds like Lee Mavers from The La‘s cut” “Song produced by Alan Wass and Kenny Patterson”
From NME Blog 25 January 2012 “Hired Gun - Here's an exclusive stream of the new single from The Lipstick Melodies, in collaboration with Pete.

22 April 2013 - Adem Hilmi announces new recording of “Down For The Outing” with Woflman
Notes : Adem’s tumblr blog “So I start work today on my debut album, 12 tracks I have written and collaborated with up-and-comming singers, the edgiest new bands, and one or two more well known voices.
Expanding on my newly released EP (which you can check out in the bellow posts), I’m hoping to feature the new ‘single’ version of Down for the Outing, a brand new song by Wolfeman, and perhaps most exciting; a few years back, I made some live sketch recordings of a new song idea with Amy Winehouse. I hope to work with/sample the pre-chorus/chorus idea she is singing, and develop it into a new song, alongside guest vocals featuring in the verses. Early days but Its got that classic motown sound baby!”

12 August 2013 - Doherty & Martin: The Rag & Bone Collection store is opened.
Notes : Suzi Martin is co-owner with Peter of “Doherty & Martin: The Rag & Bone Collection” located in Camden Stables Market in London.
” From Noisey August Website “It’s called Doherty & Martin: The Rag & Bone Collection and it sells almost nothing of worth, for prices that are extraordinary. There are cigarette butts for £100 and wrapping paper for double that. Essentially, it’s a really expensive car boot sale run by a self-confessed crack addict. I wondered what sort of people were parting with their cash there, which is why I first decided to head down to Camden Stables to have a look. I didn’t know the exact location of the shop, so when I got to Camden I called up Suzi, who runs it, and asked for directions. She told me that it’s closed until Saturday….We got into the Stables and Pete opened up the shop. It was lit dimly, with every available space  filled with tour posters, cans, old vinyl, old magazine articles and thousands of cigarette butts. There’s enough Libertines, Babyshambles and Doherty memorabilia in there to fill a ballroom. I asked him where it’s all come from. He shrugged and said “I’ve brought it all out of storage, these are just the things that I wanted to sell.” After a while I noticed the messages in a bottle on offer and wonder what iconic statements Pete would give to his fans. I mention the bottles and he tells me that inside are stories and poems. I ask what the stories are about, he replies “it’s about... um,no no no, it ends with...um, you’ll just have to buy it to find out.” For £100 a bottle, I might just wait till it comes out on Kindle. I was browsing the shop some more, hoping to come across Scarborough Steve’s toenail clippings when I noticed that Pete has fallen asleep at the typewriter, his face covering the keys. I didn't know what to do. ”
From NME 15 August 2013 “Today, the shop's co-owner Suzi Martin denies that such items are on sale. "We don’t sell cigarette butts," Martin told NME. "There are ashtrays all over the shop with [Pete's] cigarettes in. It's like, if people want to pay 200 quid for that, we're not going to say no, but we're not selling them….Confusing matters, Doherty did say he intended to sell cigarette butts in his shop when speaking to NME earlier this year. He said: "I've got fag butts that belong to Bobby Gillespie, Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse, and I've got Christmas paper that [former Coventry City goalkeeper] Steve Ogrizovic sent to the guy from Black Sabbath. All kinds of shit, basically." Martin suggests this was a "joke that has gotten out of hand" thanks to the media. The singer, Martin says, has been known to sleep in the store since its opening. “He locked himself in the other night to decorate a wall. He drops in and out between preparations for his tour and painting for his exhibition later on in the month." An exhibition of Doherty’s artwork opens on Camden High Street on August 27"

Peter in an interview with NME on the same night mentioned “"Up until about three hours ago I was gonna pull the whole [tour] to be honest," he said. "I mean, why do we do it? Why do we start bands and sing songs? It's for one thing – to pull birds. And if you're finally in love with someone then you don't have to get onstage and make an arse of yourself."”

Mick was the first to return and coaxed Peter back to the stage with the intro chords to I Wish. During Pipedown Peter changes a few lyrics to include words from Bankrobber. Before the final track of the night Peter sings a few lines of I Think We’re Alone Now.
Fans Say “I have never seen a performance like this since Pat was in the band. Pete was worse for wear as he repeatedly fell into the drum kit, lay on the stage floor, broke microphones, slurred his words & threw instruments around the stage. It was quite a rare but exciting performance. Many fans booed the band as they left the stage for the first time and the gig was cut short as the band missed out at least three songs from the set.” “Fans were getting onstage left right and centre. Many fans were felt short changed from the poor performance, others were too drunk to care.”
manchesterscenewipe website review : “Astonishingly, Pete and co. arrive on-stage only fifteen minutes later than announced, but what was to follow, was a live, uncensored train wreck. Opening with Delivery, Pete stumbled and swayed around the stage, his guitar haphazardly thrashed and lyrics even more randomly wailed, albeit perfectly in tune.
The band, led more by Drew McConnell and Whitnall followed up with latest single ‘Nothing Comes To Nothing’, which, unfortunately is just about the gig’s peak. From then on in, it all turned a bit sour. ‘Why are Leeds and Manchester always the best nights man?’ queries Doherty before chanting ‘Yorkshire’ and ‘Doncaster’ before announcing that the next track would be the last of the night, all to the boozy crowd’s bemusement. ‘The Man Who Came To Stay’ sees less lyrics or vocals and also sees Pete fall over the drum kit, and then drop the microphone, and rather aptly, ‘Fall From Grace’ has Pete pouring cans of beer over his sodden locks and lying on the stage, completely unaware of anything going on around him. His disciples care not, and cheer him on regardless.
Doherty leaves the stage to a few boos, after throwing his microphone then wondering why it didn’t work. His techies have their work cut out as they follow him around the stage clearing up the mess he leaves scattered behind him.
The set list I saw prior to the gig had 21 tracks on it. Half were half played, the other half not at all.”
“"I’d like to sincerely apologise to everyone who came to the Manchester show on Saturday. Everyone in the band agrees it was a terrible gig. I actually wrote a long blog about Manchester, but on reflection I have chosen not to post it. But we are genuinely sorry to those who were there and feel short changed." -Drew McConnell (via Drew’s Blog http://fuckyeahshambles.tumblr.com/)”

Notes : Fans Say : “Pretty damn good performance from the whole band, came on at 9.30, finished at !0.45 and came back on for the encore until 11.15. Pete seemed to be pretty intense throughout the main gig, but had some on stage banter with Drew and Mik. Pete seemed like a totally different person when he came out for the encore and was in high spirits and having lots of banter. ” “First Shambles gig i've been to where Pete introduced the band members, he did it during the end of Albion which then turned into a big jam with each member getting a solo spot when introduced, very professional like. Liked the fact Drew was introduced as "on bass guitar, backing vocals, melodica and Twitter Drew McConell", can't remember the other intros.
After Stranger In My Own Skin someone asked if they could come on stage to which he replied "of course you can, everyone can all come up, room for everyone. How many of you are there? hmm we were 73 tickets short of selling out so that makes (starts counting on he's fingers) ah fuck it theres plenty of you and only four of them (pointing to the security) first one up gets a free t-shirt from the stall."”
“Within about 20 seconds a young girl appeared and Pete reminded the guy on the stall to give her 20% off and they exchanged hugs and handshakes and she asked if she could sing so he said yeah are you a singer? No! she said, which hes response was ah go ahead. She said her dad was he's biggest fan and pointed him out and asked if her could come up too and Pete replied "yeah why not bring your whole family up!"
"We spent the day walking around Norwich, it's a beautiful place isn't it, lots of lovely people. Now now don't get carried away the girls are pretty and the people are lovely, however you've been a terrible crowd, but we've played pretty damn good up here if I say so myself"”

Notes : Dust On The Road is a new song and is performed by Peter Acoustic. La Marseillaise - Les Copains d'abord is an improvised jam in a ska style.
Fans Say “I can't say how the gig began because I arrived around 9:30 when they played Pipedown. The friends that put me up, invite me to have an aperitif and a dinner with them, so... And it finished around 11:00. They played more or less the original setlist but in disorder. I'm sure they play from the new album : Fall from grace, Farmers daughter, Seven shades, and Fireman... Babyshambles improvised a reggae version of the "Marseillaise". Probably Peter waited for us to sing, but it didn't work. La marseillaise isn't a federative anthem in France, often considered as a militarist / imperialist anthem... ”

Fans Say “Miki Beavis joining the band for the Time for Heroes guitar solo; Fuck Forever not being the end of the gig; Peter on drums accompanying Miki; the rest of the band coming back onstage a little way into Albion; the look on the bouncers' faces when the band launched into a bit of Knees Up Mother Brown”

21 October 2013 - Academy, Bournemouth *incomplete setlist
Delivery / The Blinding / Nothing Comes To Nothing / Fall From Grace / Dr. No / Farmers Daughter / Killamangiro / Pipedown / Blitzkrieg Bop (The Ramones cover) / Fuck Forever
Notes: From The Bournemouth Echo Online “PeteDoherty and his band kept everybody waiting but it was well worth it. He always manages to balance his concerts on a knife edge with that feeling that it could all come crashing down. But that only adds to the excitement. It was the last gig on the UK tour and he seemed more fatigued than usual but he still had the audience in the palm of his hand and the band were razor sharp behind him. Guitarist Mick Whitnall seems to have improved his musicianship greatly and Drew McConnell on bass with a new drummer drove the night along at top speed at times. The almost full O2 lapped up the songs from the new album Sequel to the Prequel and Doherty could do no wrong as he wore hats from the crowd and read out messages, asking people if they knew some of his old school friends from his Blandford days. There was a worrying moment of dub reggae that thankfully did not last long and the echo on his microphone was a little strong at times. But their early songs like Killamangiro and Pipedown were riotous and a rendition of The Ramones’ Blitzkrieg Bop was fantastic. ”

Notes: Fans Say From luckynude.tumblrcom “luckynude wrote: this is it. i saw babyshambles yesterday night. and dear god, i still can’t believe this all happened. i was standing in the second row with my friend in the first row, almost in front of Pete’s microphone. they came up on a stage and started playing delivery, i could straightway say Pete was in quite a good mood. is it all russian vodka’s faulth? don’t think so. he looked so well and so sweet with his fluffy hair and his angelic face. he looked so young. after a couple of songs he started taking stuff from the crowd and signing it. there was a girl with a Polaroid camera, she gave him instant photos, and he then took a couple of photos himself. at some point people started throwing things on stage - hats (which he then wore), toy penguins he put in the pockets of his jeans, cigarettes he smoked, and bras, lots of bras, I’ve never seen so many bras on one stage before. i had a moleskine with pictures of him and with babyshambles song lyrics in it, so I decided to throw it on the stage as well. I did, and it fell unnoticed behind the amp. i was praying to god he somehow notices it. and he did! he took it in his hands, and opened it. he then stared at the picture of himself for quite a long time. my heart fucking sank. then he came closer to Drew and showed it all him. they were both smiling, and Drew threw a gaze in the crowd, looking for someone it belonged to. he heard my screams and gestured me that it was cool. Pete then took the notebook behind the stage, as well as all the toys and stuff. Mick! to be honest, I didn’t like him before, but yesterday I realised what a sweet person he was. constantly smiling and hanging closer to the crowd from the stage, sharing his birthday whiskey and hugging with Pete. and this after-gig thing he did. god it took me a bit of time to realize what happened. he went on a stage with Drew wearing a pair of red thights. maan, I saw more than I could possibly want to see. he turned around showing everyone his bum and posing. yes man. that was it. then I asked a safety guard man to hang me a guitar pick Mick threw earlier. it’s a first time I could actually have something like that. and after the gig, we spent about 40 mins in the club. after some time passed I heard screaming and saw mick approaching the bar. he was legless, and soon run away. that was it. I’m still slowly realizing how happy I am. how happy these three men made me.”

Notes: Miki Beavis features on Violin throughout the set. From Clashmusiccom “When Pete swoops on stage in a trademark trench coat and sailor hat, cigarette burning bright, the clamour for a piece of bad boy infamy continues undiminished: girls fawn over him, Dalston boys want to be him – in this crowd at least. Still, for all the familiarity, the face is weathered, and noticeably heavier. Opener ‘Time For Heroes’ reflects this: it sets the room abuzz, but the delivery isn’t as punkishly brash as a decade ago. Solo number ‘Arcady’ mellows the tone further, whilst ‘The Good Old Days’ feels more wistful with every passing year. When Pete asks, “Who knows Biffy Clyro?” the muted response speaks volumes. No, it’s not 2006 anymore. Reacting, he suddenly bursts into life, strumming ‘You Talk’ to deafening cheers. A ripple of relief spreads at the adrenaline shot, with the violin of Micki interwoven with Pete’s guitar work. Amongst the screams and cheers, Pete grabs one of the many drinks laid on a speaker behind him and downs it in one. ‘Beg, Steal Or Borrow’ impatiently follows, interrupted when a trilby is thrown on stage. Pete tries to flick it up with his foot but fails, breaking his guitar strap in the process. The almighty crash leads to a simple shoulder shrug; sweating, drink stained, things kick on. The moment that transforms the night is revealing. After a raucous rendition of ‘The Boy Looked At Johnny’, a bottle’s thrown. “F*cking hell, it’s not that bad… been a long time,” he says. And suddenly Doherty’s flying at the man, guitar held high, eyes wild. Frustration? Battered pride? It’s all there. The crowd pulls him back. Nihilistically, he announces ‘What A Waster’ as the last song of the night. But doesn’t leave. The gig becomes about proving himself – he stays for a further three hours and five goodbyes, giving everything.
This is the Doherty myth played out in microcosm; free spirited, alluring. Girls fly on stage for a kiss; he shares gifts, cigarettes, drinks, and even hats with the crowd. He stops spontaneously to sign anything: bags, jeans, skin. With crowd members bouncing off one another, the energy is palpable. “If you’re here for ‘F*ck Forever’, wait in the bar and come back in an hour,” he says to a roar. The crowd get everything, from Libertines B-side ‘Never, Never’, to ‘Back From The Dead’. Eventually he asks for requests and pandemonium ensues – but from it all emerges a delicately sung ‘My Darling Clementine’ and ‘Merry-Go-Round’.
Security men ready the exit doors, but Pete isn’t stopping. He does sing for the final 15 minutes, but only the crowd can be heard, belting out ‘Albion’, ‘Don’t Look Back Into The Sun’ and ‘What Katie Did’. ‘F*ck Forever’ gets its outing, during which Pete literally pulls a trilby-wearing kid from the crowd, steals his hat and does an Irish jig over a violin solo.
Hat back on, and identity found, he launches into the true final song of the night, ‘Nothing Comes To Nothing’. He’s certainly something tonight. A f*cking waster maybe, but a precious one at that.” “
